About Bothkamp Australia Farm

Established in 1985, Bothkamp Australia Farm grows premium fresh produce and is a major distributor to customers throughout Australia, as well as exporting fresh produce overseas.

We pride ourselves on offering the highest standard of Australian produce and are recognised by our stockists and consumers as a leader in quality, taste and availability.

The name Bothkamp stems back to our family heritage. My parents Gabi & Wilhelm emigrated from Germany to Australia in the early 1980’s. The farm where my father was born and grew up is in Bothkamp, a municipality in the district of Plön, in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany.

As the agricultural industry continues to evolve, both in Australia and world-wide, Bothkamp is committed to innovation and excellence in farming operations while maintaining best standards and practices. We support the industry with sustainable and progressive farming, adopting technology advances where plausible and continually updating our knowledge and skills through further education and knowledge sharing.

Our People

At Bothkamp Australia Farm we recognise how vital our people are to our operations. Our team consists of five full-time local employees working in production, maintenance administration and distribution.

Christian Bloecker – Managing Director

Christian is a second-generation Ord farmer, with his parents establishing the farm 1985 and pioneering the growing of melons and pumpkins in the Australian winter in far northern Australia.

After studying agriculture and economics at The University of Western Australia, and spending a year on exchange at the University of California, Riverside, Christian returned to the family-owned farm to manage the operations.

Christian’s knowledge and passion for horticulture in Northern Australia, combined with the region’s unique growing conditions have provided the perfect platform for Christian to successfully operate and expand on the farm’s opportunities.
